What types of changes trigger an alert?
Rate changes (duty rate goes up or down), new trade actions (Section 301, 232, IEEPA additions), code additions and removals, description changes, and EU measure changes. You can enable or disable each type in your alert preferences.
How do I choose which codes to monitor?
Save any tariff code to your saved codes list and toggle the bell icon. Every saved code with alerts enabled is monitored for changes. There's no limit on the number of codes you can watch.
What delivery options are available?
Email alerts with three frequency options: instant (as changes are detected), daily digest, or weekly digest. Business plans also get webhook delivery with HMAC-SHA256 signed payloads for system integration.
How quickly are changes detected?
DutyDesk monitors USITC and TARIC data sources continuously. Changes are typically detected within hours of publication. Instant email alerts are sent as soon as a change is confirmed.
Can I send alerts to multiple email addresses?
Yes. Add as many recipient email addresses as you need in your alert preferences. Useful for teams where procurement, compliance, and finance all need to know about rate changes.
What's included in a webhook payload?
The webhook sends a JSON payload with the tariff code, change type, old value, new value, effective date, and market (US or EU). Payloads are signed with HMAC-SHA256 so you can verify authenticity. Webhooks are available on the Business plan.
