TARIC Code
A 10-digit code used by EU customs to classify goods and determine applicable duties and measures.
TARIC (Tarif Intégré Communautaire) is the EU's integrated tariff database. TARIC codes are 10 digits: the first 6 are the international HS code, digits 7-8 are the EU's Combined Nomenclature (CN) subheadings, and digits 9-10 are TARIC-specific subdivisions. TARIC codes determine not just duty rates but also import measures, quotas, anti-dumping duties, and preferential rates by country of origin.
